Function of Water Filter Cartridges

PP cotton water filter cartridge:
The primary filter cartridge of the water filter mainly intercepts and filters suspended substances, sediment, red worm, rust, colloid and other substances that are insoluble in water. As the water filter cartridge at the front end can protect the filter element at the back. Due to the front-end filtering, the filter element wears out faster. It usually needs to be replaced in about 3 months.

Activated carbon water filter cartridge:
Activated carbon generally uses coal-based carbon or plant carbon (coconut shells, fruit shells) as raw materials. After carbonization and activation treatment, a developed pore structure is generated inside, which has a powerful filtering and adsorption effect. In water purification products, activated carbon is mainly used to remove odors and odors in water and remove residual chlorine. At the same time, it has some functions of filtering heavy metal ions, but it is relatively weak. Due to the wide variety of impurities contained in tap water, in theory, activated carbon can adsorb some of the inorganic and organic substances, including some colloids. But in this case, the activated carbon will quickly fail, so it is often not used as a primary filter element, but PP cotton water filter cartridge is added in front.

Ultrafiltration membrane water filter cartridge:
Ultrafiltration membrane is a mechanical sieve filter membrane, its accuracy is generally 0.01 microns. At this level, most impurities can be filtered out, and some heavy metal ions and minerals in water cannot be filtered. Therefore, generally speaking, the water filtered by the ultrafiltration membrane water filter cartridge cannot be drunk directly. However, in the southern region with better water quality, the water filtered by the ultrafiltration membrane has reached the requirement of direct drinking.

Reverse osmosis membrane water filter cartridge:
Reverse osmosis membrane is the mainstream product of water purification equipment filter on the market. Under the action of a certain pressure, the reverse osmosis membrane can pass water molecules and other impurities will be trapped. Therefore, the water filtered by the reverse osmosis membrane water filter cartridge is basically pure water, so people often use reverse osmosis water purification equipment. Called the straight drink machine.
