TDS-It doesn't matter whether the water quality is good or bad

Many people in daily life use TDS to measure the quality of their family water, in order to distinguish the quality of the water filter such as refrigerator water filters, but is this correct? In fact, TDS detects only one indicator in water. However, a single indicator cannot measure the quality of water. Therefore, it is wrong to use TDS to determine whether water of refrigerator water filters is good or bad.

Its measurement principle is very simple. The purity of water quality is measured indirectly through resistance. Because pure water is an insulator, natural water is rich in inorganic salts and organic matter, so water is a conductor. When there are more impurities in water, the higher the conductivity, the larger the TDS value.

The total solid dissolved in pure water is very small, so the TDS value is also very low. If the water is contaminated, the dissolved total solids content will increase and the TDS will increase. From this situation, TDS can measure the quality of the water. But in fact some contain minerals that are good for the human body, and these minerals can also increase the TDS value. Therefore, the level of TDS cannot determine the quality of water or refrigerator water filters.

TDS can be used as an indicator to measure the quality of water or refrigerator water filters, but it cannot be completely dependent on it. The quality of the water purifier is not measured by TDS alone. We also need to pay attention to whether there are pigments, bacteria, sediments, etc. in the water.
